San Mateo

An 800 ton, 16th century Spanish galleon from the reign of Phillip II, belonging to the Indies run. A typical example of the famous and characteristic Spanish galleon, a cross between a cargo ship and a fighting ship.

Recommended for advanced modelers.
Detailed construction methods allow modeler to form the hull by attaching Sapelly wood strips to the false keel and frames.
Brass rivets, nails, hinges, shafts, axles, wheels, guns, chain plates and eyebolts.
Cast iron anchor, coats of arms and gunports.
Beige cloth for sails.
All-wood construction features Ayous, Ramin, Sapelly, Mansonia, boxwood and plywood.
Two rolls of dark brown and two rolls of light gray thread in different weights, for all rigging applications.
