J.S. Elcano

Cadet training ship of the Spanish navy rigged as a four-mast schooner and carrying square sails on her foremast. She was built at the Echevarrieta shipyard and launched on the 5th of March 1927 in Cadiz.

  • For beginning to intermediate modelers.

  • Beige cotton cloth for sails.

  • Preformed Ayous wood hull.

  • All-wood construction features Ayous, Mukaly, Sapelly, boxwood, plywood and Ramin wood.

  • Brass hardware such as chains, ladders, flagpole and eyebolts.

  • Two colors of thread, Brown and Raw (pale green) for different rigging applications.

  • Dark green, white and black paint, and paint brush for finishing the hull.
