Tripe-Bipe - Bill Hodgdon - Strafford, NH
284KB
Howard Shutt of Tyler Texas designed and published plans for a nice .60-.90 size triplane back in 1993 which he called the Tripe-Bipe. It was so-named because it could be flown as either a triplane or a biplane. It's a sport plane, and is not representative of any real aircraft. I built one and used a OS .60 in it. The .60 engine is a reasonable size in this model, but a .90 would give unlimited vertical performance. It's a great flying plane with the .60 engine. I have over 300 flights on the tripe-bipe. For Winter practice, I recolored the Real Flight G2 Foker to look like my Tripe-Bipe color scheme, and modified the flight characteristics so it flew like my actual model. It flys kinda like an Ultimate Tripe.

An enhancement of the classic GeeBee trim. Some custom colors, some stripes, all pretty basic stuff but with a very good outcome I think.
