Brushes

After many runs, eventually even Team Checkpoint brushes will need replacing. Our race-tested Infinity Tri-Silver compound is the choice for all 6-cell applications, while our 4-cell Atlas brush is perfectly suited for 1/10th and 1/12th scale oval and on-road racing. Both of these models are available as direct replacements for all Team Checkpoint modified motors.

On-track testing and race-winning results have proven that, after several runs on these brushes, the motor actually gains power without diminished efficiency!

Springs

Different on-track situations require an option for tuning the spring tension on your racing motor. Team Checkpoint offers three different spring versions that allow drivers to adjust that tension for any environment. Both springs are compressed equally inside the retainer nuts on the back side of the brushes. This provides the exact force needed for the brush face to make proper contact on the comm.

By not twisting the brush springs — like on most conventional spiral spring designs — Team Checkpoint's coil spring is more consistent and will not cause brush bounce over time.
